If you follow me on social media {Twitter, Facebook or Instagram} then you saw my post yesterday where I casually mentioned I'm writing an ebook on thrift shopping. Yes, I'm literally writing the book on thrifting. After 10+ years of being a hardcore thrifter, it's time I compiled my top tips and tricks that have helped me score designer and vintage threads for less than a dollar. I'm aiming for a summer release {late July!} and it will focus on the A to Z of thrift shopping. Before I finalize everything, I want to hear from you!

Thrifty Threads 365: Maxi Dress and Crop Top ComboThere's something so effortless about a maxi dress. It's a simple one piece, but the floor grazing effect has a regal feel to it. And a maxi is my go-to piece when I'm in a rush, traveling or just don't feel like getting dressed.
I've had this super soft cotton maxi dress for at least five years {purchased from Strawberry for less than $15!} and it's seriously on its last leg, but I can't seem to let it go. To add a different feel to it, I layered a vintage cut off t-shirt over it.

Looking Fly on a Dime Style Event

If you subscribe to my newsletter, you read yesterday that I'm taking my Ready, Set, Thrift! and styling events on the road! Unless you're in NYC, you've never had a chance to meet me up close and personal and enjoy one of my thrift shopping parties or clothing swaps. Well, it's time to change that. One of my major goals for 2014 and 2015 is to seriously ramp up my event hosting and spreading the message that "your style is never determined by your wallet" to as many men, women and kids as possible. I'm hitting additional cities with my thrift and affordable style events, but I want to hear from you first.

Last week was all about how to rock a bodycon dress from day to night, but for this week's Thrifty Threads, I wanted a look that was comfortable and chic for day to night,
When it comes to versatility, I'm really feeling jumpsuits. So I knew I had to whip out my Uniqlo jumper I scored from the Salvation Army. I previously wore this $7 jumpsuit in the dead of winter, but now I stripped down a few layers for a spring look.
