WE tv braxton family valuesIf you guys follow me on Instagram {user: LookingFlyonaDime} or like my Facebook fan page, then you may have seen some photos from earlier this month referencing my shoot with WE tv. Well, now I can give you the dish! I filmed two Cinematherapy segments for the network.

During the commercial breaks for Braxton Family Values, host Jackie Tranchida and I give you the dish on must have items for fall. The advertiser for this week's Cinematherapy is Burlington Coat Factory, so everything is super affordable. And like I mentioned, I didn't film just one segment, but two. During the 7pm show of the Braxtons, I'll show you a great piece from Burlington that can transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. And during the 8pm show's commercial break, you'll see another must have piece for the fall months.I know most people, self included, tune out or fast forward when commercials come on, but you'll want to stay tuned in between the Braxton episodes.I took a few picks during the shoot just to give you a peek at what you can see on Thursday's Cinematherapy episodes.

The fashion of the 80s can be a bit scary for some but I tend to embrace the trends of yesteryear. Peplum dresses, acid wash jeans and off the shoulder shirts are still pretty hot.And one childhood trend I really love is jelly shoes. You remember jellies. They were the plastic sandals you wore as a kid. They practically melted on your feet and left you with sweaty toes.Well, jellies are back. Designers like Valentino and Givenchy are selling jelly sandals and flats for close to $300.

Designer Jelly shoesI would never pay that much for a pair of jellies, so I was beyond excited when the folks over a Happy Scarf sent me a pair of their jelly flats. They retail for just $24 {currently on sale for $20} and come in colors like black, pink and electric blue.

And though many people think thrift shopping is a hard skill that only certain people can acquire, that's so not true. Yes, it takes patience but anyone can master it. If you're new to thrift shopping, you can always check out my Thrift Shopping 101, How to Find the Best Thrift Store or Ten Thrift Shopping Commandments {part one and part two}.I know thrift shopping has become a fad for some people, but I've been doing this for about 10 years. I didn't start thrifting because it was cool, I did it because I was a broke college student living off of her work study pay check. Now I thrift because it's economical, I love the thrill of finding a cheap, unique treasure and in many cases, the money I spend on secondhand clothing benefits a charitable cause. In honor of National Thrift Shop Day, I wanted to share some of my thrift store scores with you on this glorious "holiday."

LiSi Cosmetics was founded in 2011 by a couple who thought the industry was missing high-end merchandise at an affordable price. The great thing about the line is that it caters to women of every race and complexion. You can relate just from noticing the diversity of their models.
