I've had a colorful vintage suit on my thrift wish list for a while and my prayers were answered during a thrift shopping trip to Goodwill last month. Well, they were kinda sorta answered. I had a vision for a colorful vintage suit: a citrus or coral color with a structured jacket and wide leg trousers. That's the image I had in my head. However, the suit I found look a liiiiiitle bit different. It was a mixture of bright colors, had massive shoulder pads, and the skirt was an awkward length. But you know what, for $7, I bought it anyway and styled it seven different ways. How to Style a Vintage Suit in Flattering Ways

I'm not a huge online shopper. If I had a choice between adding items to my cart or going in store? I'd choose a visit to the store eight times out of ten. But there's been a shopping site I've been dying to try. It's Wish. You've probably heard of them. They sell clothes, shoes, accessories and pretty much everything at an affordable price. And when I say affordable, some items are a few bucks and others are even free. Yes, free! But of course there's a catch. While the clothes are cheap, you have to pay for shipping for each individual item {versus one shipping rate for an entire order}. Also, the quality is a crap shoot. So, I figured why not? Let me give it a shot, right? It's time for another What's In Store feature. Here's what I found on Wish, plus a few tips.Looking Fly on a Dime: striped culotte jumpsuit

I pride myself on being prepared. At all times. Also, I enjoy a good theme party and go all out for one. So imagine how shocked I was when I had a 007 theme party to go to and nothing to wear??? If you've been following me on Instagram, then you know a few weeks ago I went to Club Getaway, which is an adult summer camp. Yes, it was as amazing as it sounds. Tons of leisure time, thrilling activities, parties, food and more. And because we're adults, there were drinks. But I totally didn't realize the theme for Saturday night's party was 007. I missed that email. I had a black romper I packed with me so I guess I could have made that work, but I was so ticked off I wouldn't have a great 'fit. And then the heavens opened up!TJ-maxx-looking-fly-on-a-dime-connecticut

Earlier this month, Target, my beloved bullseye boutique debuted a new collection and it's kind of a big deal. I mean, who doesn't love Target?! But this line in particular was a really exciting venture because per usual, it's affordable, but more importantly, every garment in the collection goes up to a size 26 {versus just some items being plus}. Also, there's a heavy focus on denim, which is an item most women find difficult to shop for {check out Fitting Room Tips to Find the Best Jeans...after you're done reading this!}.
Of course it was my civic fashion duty to check out the Universal Thread line in person, try on pieces and report back the absolute pros and a few cons. Here's another What's In Store.

I've pretty much been broke my entire life. And you know what? I have no shame in saying that! But over the past decade I've learned how to not always look broke. Aha, that's the key!I realized it wasn't about how much money I did or didn't spend, it was always about the choices I made when I did drop some cash on clothes.
