It's Friday so that means another round of Thrifty Threads where I showcase my frugal fashion finds. You ever do a bit of spring/summer cleaning and find an awesome item in the back of your closet that you forgot you even had? Yup, that's what happened to me this weekend. I found a fringe, cross body bag that I purchased from the Housing Works warehouse sale. I wasn't a huge fan of fringe (too much of a hippie vibe), but this baby had me at hello. I paired it with...

I'm a Goodwill addict, this has been established already. So imagine my surprise when I learned they were opening a location not too far from my hometown in Jersey.I made my way back to the Garden State to check out what this new location had to offer.Of course, I wasn't disappointed. The store was large, highly organized and had everything you could possibly want. Need a great dress? There were tons of Ann Taylor frocks. Want a pair of heels for $6? There were several racks. If you were in the market for random, fun items, they even had a pair of roller skates and a Snuggie.

{does the red skirt look familiar? it's Zac Posen for Target!}

Earlier this week I attended a rooftop party and wanted a look that was pretty simple but cute, which is always my goal when I get dressed! It’s been crazy hot on the east coast, so wearing a light weight fabric was a must.I chose a simple LBD and threw on some of my fave accessories from DSW. And of course I had to have a pair of dangly earrings.The leather bag with gold accents is my go-to purse. It’s gorgeous, looks way more expensive than it really...

Last week I indulged in my favorite past time (other than eating), thrifting! And of course I went to my tried and true location, the Goodwill Outlet in Long Island City, where clothing is price by the pound, at $1.69/lb.I typically walk away from this store with dresses and cute tops, but on this trip I lucked out and found some great jeans from 7 For All Mankind, Banana Republic and Antik Denim.

{about $1 per pair}
