23 Dec Beauty Review: Wet n Wild Color Icon
I’m normally not in to eyeshadow, I’m just obsessed with mascara {as you can tell by my reviews here, here and here} but I couldn’t resist Wet n Wild’s Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio. I love how the product lays it right out for you with instructions on which shadow to put on your browbone, crease and lid. Simple as can be. The palettes come in colors like Walking on Eggshells {which I purchased}, Don’t Steal My Thunder, On Cloud Nine and Sweet as Candy.
The product states: “Coordinating trio shades takes the guesswork out of creating the perfect eye look. The “how to” palettes are created to highlight, define, and accentuate specific eye colors to create unique looks.”
The $1.99 price tag was pretty great, but I wanted to know if it actually held up or would it crease and fade.
I have the greasiest lids in history {seriously!} so it’s a must that I use primer with any shadow. I applied a dab of Too Faced Shadow Insurance and applied the shadow to my lid, crease and browbone and then blended a bit.
I normally never apply any shadow or highlighter to my brow because I think it will look silly but I loved how the metallic shadow really highlighted my eyes and gave a subtle pop!
The shadow actually held up as well as any other product I’ve used before. At $1.99, I’ll definitely be racking up on a few other shades. Next time I may go for a bright, bold color.
Have you tried Wet n Wild beauty products before? What was your verdict?

Posted at 23:32h, 23 Decemberhey hun! just discovered your blog and I love it! Wet and Wild products have come a long way from the cakey makeup we used to sneak and wear in middle school! LOL I’d actually use some of it now and even own some of the eyeshadow trios! I’m too lazy to learn how to do it on my own so the fact that they lay it out for ya is a total bonus!

But I swear by the Too Faced Primer, it’s amazing (no creases and a tube lasts forever).
