Last week I showed you one of many ways to cut an oversized t-shirt and this week I'm showing you how to wear a men's button down. They tend to come in great colors and patterns that will add great variety to your wardrobe. Though they're cute, I'm sure you're thinking how to make the large, unflattering cuts work on a feminine frame.

A few months ago I snagged this chambray Gap shirt from Salvation Army. Though it's an XS, it swallows me up if I wear it as is. Luckily, pairing it with the right tops, bottoms or accessories make all the difference. See the four ways to wear a men's button down.

Belted: The quickest and most obvious way to rock a button down is with the help of a belt. It defines your waist and looks great with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans. You can opt for a belt with a funky pattern, detailed buckle or tie a woven one.

I'm a fan of bold hues. My motto is the brighter the better, but I understand everyone doesn't share this sartorial sentiment. I've received some serious side eyes for wearing red pants and yellow jeans. But there's nothing to fear when it comes to the color spectrum. Maybe you don't want to go as far as red pants, but a few accessories can brighten up your look for spring. So step away from the neutrals and inject some color in your wardrobe with the accessories below.

A pair of bright pumps is a quick way to add some flair to an otherwise boring look, Fergie's a perfect example of this. Though she's rocking head to toe black, your eye automatically goes towards her bold pumps. And luckily, the market is full of bold hued espadrilles, pumps and sandals.

If there's one item of clothing I wanted for spring, it was a jumpsuit. I envisioned myself rocking the one piece with a simple high heel sandal and floppy hat while enjoying an al fresco brunch. Yes, I clearly have a vivid imagination that revolves around my wardrobe.

I hit up the recently renovated Goodwill on 23rd St. and just as I was heading out, I noticed a white garment grazing the floor. I wasn't sure what it was but once I took it off the rack, I realized it was a jumpsuit. Score for me! But then I thought there was no way my 5'2 frame would look good in this. However, I tried it on anyway and fell in love.

It warms my thrifty heart when I see celebs rocking cheap chic finds. They can afford the best, but sometimes they opt for affordable wears you can find at your local mall. Jennifer Hudson was the latest celeb to step out in style on a dime. She paired a few trends {fedora, florals, shorts and leggings} without looking too trendy and created a boho chic look. But look at the shoes. Cute, right? And better yet, they're only $85! Jennifer rocked the Chinese Laundry Friction pumps. The suede platforms with elastic straps are the perfect compliment to any outfit. And the 5 inch heel is sure to give you legs for days.
