Winter is here. Well, not officially, but the cooling temps are quickly creeping up on us. A great, warm winter coat is a worthwhile investment but if you’re a bit cash strapped or want to update your look without dropping a wad of cash, there are tons of cute and functional options on the market. Whether your style leans more towards the classic or glam look, there’s something for every taste.
Pea Coat:
This classic look never goes out of style. It’s flattering for all figures and easily translates from day to night. Black or navy blue are typical choices, but you can also opt for a bright hue to perk up the cold days.

Puffer:
Whether you call them puffer or bubble coats, either way they’re super warm. Not only is it functional, but the styles are a bit more sleek and refined so you won’t look like an over-sized Michelin man. Belted waists and fur trimmed hoods are great added details.
Faux Fur:
For the girl who wants to add a bit of glam to her look, {faux} fur is the way to go. It’s animal friendly and more affordable than the real thing. It’s also a great option to wear over your favorite LBD or cocktail dress to a holiday party.
Faux Shearling:
Shearling: that super warm, soft to the touch material is great for bundling up. The faux varieties on the market also offer up warmth while leaving you cash to spare. The longer shearlings have a more formal feel while the bomber style coats add a bit of edge to your winter wardrobe.

Posted at 08:16h, 22 NovemberI had to purchase a new coat this year to accomodate the bun in the oven. I got it at Target from the Liz Lange maternity collection for $40 bucks. It’s a cute charcoal grey peacoat.

Posted at 09:24h, 22 NovemberAwww, congrats on the little bambino. A peacoat is a great option. I’ve had mine for years now. It goes with everything! I just thrifted an awesome pink, brocade style Nine West coat…only $10. I’ll post pictures tomorrow!
