Why I’m Excited Over Prabal Gurung for Target

target and looking fly on a dime, target launch

It’s T-minus two days until the Prabal Gurung for Target collection hits stores on the Sunday. I’ve previously posted about my so-so attitude toward designer collaborations {sometimes the pieces look and feel a bit cheap and other times, the prices are way too high}, but this Prabal line doesn’t fall in to either of those categories. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you’ve already witnessed me raving about the new line.

Target’s had a ton of designer collaborations from Mulberry to Missoni, but I can honestly say the Prabal Gurung line is my absolute favorite. The quality and standout style is definitely worth way more than the average $40 price tag.
First off, the launch party was fun and whimsical. Between the ferris wheel, carnival games, amazing food {the short rib empanada from Nuchas was mm-mm good} and performance from Ne-Yo, I had to remind myself that I was there to check out the clothes and report back for you guys. After scarfing down some light bites and a few lemontinis, I got an up close and personal look and feel at every item on display.
If you’re a fan of bright hues, flowy garments and/or prints, you’ll fall head over heels for the clothes and accessories.
A ton of dresses are a-line, so that means they flatter all sizes, whether you’re a figure is slim or curvy. These pieces can be worn now {just layer a blazer over them and rock with some tights} as well as throughout spring and summer.
And the pumps and sandals are just as craveworthy and range from neutrals to citrus tones, which are an easy way to add some punch to your outfits.
Some of the Prabal for Target pieces are already on eBay! So I’d suggest you line up early on Sunday morning to snag some goods for yourself, as I can see them selling out. And check out the complete look book with prices ahead of time so you can go in with a game plan.
Are you guys lining up on Sunday for Prabal Gurung for Target? What pieces do you have your eyes on? How do you feel about the prices?
