What’s Ahead for Looking Fly on a Dime in 2015

It’s the last week of 2014 {where did the year go?!} and that means I’m wrapping up projects but also looking ahead. My goal has always been to be of service and make women look and feel their best through the power of dressing {on a budget}. September marked the fifth anniversary of Looking Fly on a Dime and it became clear to me that I wanted to make some serious changes to the site that serve you {the reader} and my specific goals and passions.

Check out a few key ways things will be changing in the new year. I’m sure you’ll like it. Also, there’s a short survey where you can tell me exactly what you want.

Videos

looking-fly-on-a-dime-youtube-fashion-youtube-channel Remember when I used to post videos on my Youtube channel? Yeah, I almost forgot about that also! I love love love doing videos but with the craziness of life and writing my book, videos were placed at the bottom of the priority list, which I hate! In 2015, the video content will focus on hauls, shopping tips, tagging along while I thrift and much more. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can know as soon as videos are released.

Posting Schedule

First things first, let’s chat about the frequency with which I post. For the past two years I’ve typically posted five days a week. Well, that’s changing. Posts will now be every Monday,Wednesday and Thursday. While there will be less posts, the information will be more in depth. On days that I’m not posting, I’ll be sure to share older content that you may have missed via Twitter and Facebook.

Thrifty Threads 365

Last week I asked whether I should continue Thrifty Threads 365 and I thank you all for your feedback. I’ve been doing the challenge for three years and I’ve decided it’s time to focus on my readers, instead of the primary focus being on me. There’s the #ThriftyThreads365 tag and we can see everyone’s photos but I really want to highlight thrifters {why they thrift, their top tips, best stores in their area and more}. It’s kinda similar to Thriftspiration {which is being resurrected}. It will be great to see other thrifters’ style and any tips they may have. I’ll still post my own thrifty threads outfits, but it will be nice to see some other style inspiration. Also, within the next week I’ll share my final Thrifty Threads 365 tally and how much I spent throughout the year.

These are just some changes you’ll notice in the new year, but I also want to hear from YOU! I’d love if you complete the short survey below {it’s only 7 questions!}, so I can have a better idea of what you like, love or what you never want to see again!
