Thrifty Threads – Texture Overload

I love clothes and accessories that have a great textured feel to them, whether it’s a worn leather jacket, knit tights or an embroidered scarf. Last week I decided to whip out all of the above and create a look that great to the touch.

The cozy embroidered scarf is the perfect cold weather accessory. Initially I was on the fence about these faux python tights but I love the subtle details.

Breakdown:
Jacket: Old Navy, thrifted for $2
Sweater Dress: Strawberry, $12
Scarf: thrifted for $1
Tights: New York & Company, $10
Boots: Payless, $30
Earrings: Flea market, $5
Purse: Nine West, $30
Bracelets: gifted

Week nine of my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge (a full year where I only buy second-hand clothing) is down. Only 43 more weeks to go!

  1. Your photographer is the bomb! Seriously, nice outfit. I didn’t mind braving the cold weather in the name of fashion for you. For now, anyways. Southern girls don’t do the snow 😉

    • Crap, I forgot to include your photo credit this time. Updating now! Next time we’ll have to shoot in a blizzard. You’re down, right? 🙂

  2. That leather jacket was only $2??? What a steal! I’ve never thrifted before & I’m hoping to do it soon since there is a new Goodwill Store that opened near me. Loving the scarf too!
