Thrifty Threads 365: See how readers scored statement making pieces I seriously can’t believe it’s already March and I really can’t believe Thrifty Threads 365 is heading into its third month. Though I love showing you guys my Thrifty Threads outfit posts, I really love seeing how you guys are surviving TT365. Because let’s be honest, it’s not easy giving up shopping for new clothes for a year. While some of you are doing the full year of thrifty threads, others are doing a few months.
And you’ve been great about tagging your photos with #ThriftyThreads365 and I love what I’m seeing. Last month I showed you how one reader transformed her thrifted palazzo pants in to three different dresses. And for this month, here are a few of my favorite photos from readers who are participating in Thrifty Threads 365.
As you can see, on Instagram alone we have close to 300 photos in the #ThriftyThreads365 feed and I highlighted a few…
Plaid is a huge trend and Reese from Flyy and Frugal scored a $2.25 printed sweater from Value Village. Follow her on Instagram: @FlyyandFrugal.
I’ve always found tons of Target items at thrift stores, especially Goodwill, and Zhenya of Being Zhenya wore her thrifted Phillip Lim for Target dress to an Oscars viewing party. Follow @beingzhenya for daily updates.
Mixing prints can be tricky, but Justine effortlessly paired stripes and florals for a fun look. It’s actually easy to do when the colors compliment each other. Both of her printed items were secondhand scores. See her full outfit post at The Two Cent Chick and check her out on Instagram: @thetwocentchick.
Another print that’s on trend, but never really goes out of style is leopard. Jackline showed us how to get animalistic with a thrifted leopard jacket, sweater and boots. See more outfit pics on her blog, Sincerely Miss J, and for more inspiration, there’s her Instagram feed: @smissjblog.
There are too many photos for me to highlight everyone, but keep the #ThriftyThreads365 hashtag going strong and next month I’ll highlight more participants.
Which lady above has your favorite style? If you’re joining the Thrifty Threads 365 challenge, how’s it going so far and have you run into any issues?
