I’ve found some pretty amazing pieces during my thrifting adventures {cocktail dress, tribal print frock, sequin top, etc}, but this bad boy takes the cake.
I nabbed a Theory jacket over a year ago at the Goodwill Outlet and it was love at first sight. It wasn’t the label that attracted me, but the color and military style. And the super soft material feels amazing. It’s cotton but has a bit of a velvet-y texture.
It had a missing button when I found it but of course that didn’t stop me from buying it. Before I took it to the cleaners, I checked the pockets and guess what I found? The missing button. Kismet?
Due to the Outlet’s per pound pricing {$1.69/lb}, the jacket was only about $1. Score! I can’t wait to start rocking this in the spring with some skinny jeans and stilettos.
Thrift Tip:
If an item is slightly damaged {missing button(s), slight tear, etc}, don’t be afraid to buy it and put a little tender love and care in to it. Even if just one button is missing, you can replace all of the buttons for a completely new look. Or whip out your sewing kit to raise a hem or repair a small tear.
