Anyone who follows me on Instagram Story knows there's something I always do when I board a flight. Literally, I do this every single time. I whip out my disinfectant wipes and start sanitizing the seat arms, tray, screens and anything I'll come in contact with during my flight. So in addition to being the carry-on queen {I never, ever check bags!}, I've also developed a routine that has served me well and kept me healthy.Well, last week Naomi Campbell {the supermodel Naomi!} posted a video where she shared her airplane routine and guess what? She does the same thing! It's all about staying healthy and minimizing your contact with yucky germs. Because trust me, those seat trays and pretty much everything on a plane, are absolutely filthy. In addition to my wipe down process, I actually carry what I call a "flight pouch" on every trip. I keep this bag packed at all times and it has hands down kept me healthy and made flights more comfortable.Looking Fly on a Dime: airplane routine beauty essentials

I think I'm finally finding my grove in 2019. It's safe to say 2018 was, well, a lot for me. And I mean that in good ways and bad. One way that was absolutely amazing involved traveling. I knew I wanted to travel more and let me just say this, be careful what you ask for! If you've been following me on Instagram, then you know that the last few months of 2018 were full of getaways, from Canada to Guadeloupe to Dominican Republic to domestic trips to Richmond and Nashville. At times it felt like my head was spinning {I was on six flights within a 3 day period!} but one thing that was great? Well, besides the frequent flier miles I racked up?I learned a ton about navigating the airport like a pro. I already felt like I was pretty efficient, but over the past few months I just really nailed the process. And of course, I'm sharing the tips with you!I've done a ton of posts on how to pack your carry-on bag like a pro, but this particular blog is all about navigating the airport with as little frustration as possible. How to Navigate the Airport Like a Pro

I try to thrift shop in every city and country I visit. Besides finding unique pieces, it's also nice to see the different looks and feels of thrift stores. So when I had a few days in Nashville, inevitably thrifting was on the menu. Since I didn't have much time, I knew getting major bang for my thrift buck was the key. After quick research I was so happy to find that a Goodwill Outlet was just a short ride away.If you've never been to an outlet, then you need to visit. Unlike your average thrift shop, the outlets price items by the pound versus individual pieces. But that also means the crowd can be a bit competitive. But I was ready to see what the Nashville Goodwill Outlet had to offer.Goodwill Nashville Goodwill outlet store

I’m the carry-on queen. I don’t say that to brag, it’s just the truth. I never check my bags so I’ve become a pro at how to pack a single carry-on.While most of us know the tricks to packing clothes efficiently {rolling versus folding, using packing cubes, etc.}, if there’s one area that still causes carry-on anxiety, it revolves around the beauty routine. I mean, when you’re limited to 3.4 ounces of a single product, how do you cope?!But it’s totally possible to have a single carry-on bag and not have to sacrifice your daily beauty routine. I collaborated with Walmart to show you how to pack your bag, maintain your beauty routine and of course, do it with ease and style! The products I found at Walmart are the perfect size and make that carry-on life much easier. Carry-on suitcase packed with clothes and beauty products, how to pack a carryon

I had a family member say that to me when I told him I was traveling to Belize by myself. He jokingly referred to the movie Taken and being kidnapped and sold in to slavery! Because clearly that's what happens when women travel alone, right? Not! And even in the movie, she was traveling with a friend.
If you've always wanted to travel solo but felt intimidated, here are a few tips.
