I'm so excited to be hosting another Ready, Set, Thrift! party with Housing Works. And not just at any Housing Works location, but their awesome Buy the Bag shop where clothing is $25 per bag. Yes, 25 bucks for an entire bag of clothing. In the past I've stuffed 40+ items in a single bag.
Too see how you can score tickets {which just went on sale!}, keep reading!

Last week I had the opportunity to work with Loehmann's again {I was their Fashion Week blog ambassador} and I jumped at the chance. When I'm not thrifting, I refuse to pay full retail so Loehmann's is a perfect fit, as they offer up to 65 percent off department store prices. They selected a few bloggers and style experts to participate in their private Friends and Family events throughout the NYC store. The shops shut down early for select customers to enjoy additional discounts and a fun party atmosphere.I was joined by Misha of The Fab Chick and Annika of Leather & Lacquer. We made our way to the New Hyde Park location to assist customers in styling their new threads.

ready, set, thrift

Almost two weeks ago I hosted a fun, energetic event with Goodwill called Ready, Set, Thrift!. I came up with four challenges for thrifters to compete in and the prizes ranged from free clothes to a $50 gift card. It was my first event with the thrift store and we had an awesome turn out. The shoppers were excited and I loved seeing them scurry around the store to complete their missions.
Thanks again to everyone who came out, but if you missed it, check out the recap.

We had four challenges throughout the night and when I gave the shoppers the go-ahead, they opened their piece of paper to see what mission they had to accomplish.

If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram, then you know what's coming up on Saturday, November 17. I'm hosting Swap Your Closet at ClosetDash Shop in NYC.
If you're like me, you have a ton of clothes and accessories you love but haven't worn in forever. They're just taking up space and you've never gotten around to selling, tossing or donating them. Well, then Swap Your Closet is for you! And if you specifically have a ton of accessories, then it's really for you.

Some people think vintage has to equal super expensive and I have to admit, I was one of those people. I stumbled upon Brooklyn Bleu while reading In Her Shoes and just knew I had to check it out. The boutique is by appointment only so I thought, oh no, there's no way I can afford this stuff. I was so wrong.Last Friday I made my way to Brooklyn for an appointment with Tenisha Light-Caba, she owns the boutique with her twin sister. The shop is on the second floor of a renovated brownstone and words can't even describe how posh it is. The lace and silk curtains, custom closets, super comfy chaise lounge made me feel like I stepped in my dream closet. {Seriously, I have pics on my vision board of what I want my closet to look like and this is pretty close to it}.
