Thrifty Threads 365 is a fashion challenge where I will only thrift shop for an entire year. I’ll show you how it’s easy and wallet friendly to satisfy your style needs with secondhand finds. I first debuted it on Instagram and I knew I had to have it. At $10, it's one fifth of my monthly Thrifty Threads 365 shopping budget, but like I said, I had to have it! It's a maxi, pleated and solid gold. What's not to love?!When it comes to such a bold piece, it's easy to think, "how will I wear this?" Well, I kept the rest of my look minimal and let the skirt steal the show.

looking fly on a dime, what i wore
It's no secret that I love anything fun, flirty and feminine. But the tricky part about wearing a super feminine piece, particularly tulle, is making sure you don't look like a four year old playing dress up. So when Kohl's sent over this LC Lauren Conrad Tulle Maxi Skirt {available mid November}, I had two thoughts. 1. I'm in love!!!! 2. What am I going to wear it with?!
It was actually quite easy to style this piece. I just whipped out a few wardrobe staples {blouse, chic earrings, bold purse} and a nice layering piece like a vest. And of course, everything was thrifted for just a few bucks.

Kohl's rock & republic jeans, rock & republic for kohl's

I've never been a fan of boyfriend jeans. If I must do denim, I'm a proud member of team skinny jeans {I own more than a dozen pairs}. Though I never full on hated boyfriend jeans, the relaxed, semi-sloppy fit just isn't my thing, especially since I'm only 5'2.  But I always encourage you guys to step out of your style box, I decided to take my own advice.I'm a huge fan of Kohl's and when they contacted me about a jean campaign for their Rock & Republic line, I jumped at the opportunity. I did something out of the ordinary and selected a pair of boyfriend jeans to style.
