I’ve found a few jumpsuits I love but when I say a few, I really mean just a few. My problem is they’re too long for my 5’2″ frame, the waist is baggy but too fitted on my booty or numerous buttons make it a pain to get in and out of. Well, I finally found the perfect jumpsuit.

Let me back up. I didn’t actually buy a jumpsuit, I created one. And you can too with items you already have in your closet.

While I love a good black skinny jean, I absolutely hate shopping for jeans. Well, I’m not a fan of shopping for pants, in general. I always have the issue with them being too long and the waist always gaps. *sigh*
However, I have found a few brands I love {Forever 21, Hudson and Rock & Republic for Kohl’s!}, and if you’re still struggling, here are a few tips to use when shopping for jeans. These are the fitting room do’s and don’ts of denim shopping.

Some days it feels like fall {hey sunny and 50 degrees!} and other days we’re in a deep freeze. That means deciding what to wear is super tricky. The easiest solution for getting dress on those in between days: layers! Layering can be tricky, because no one wants to look bulky. But all you really need is a few thin layers and a chunky knit you can easily remove if the day warms up.
Of course I had to rock a few of my affordable fashion finds on a fairly mild “winter” day in NYC.

Remember this vintage gold maxi skirt I thrifted a few weeks ago? I first debuted it on Instagram and I knew I had to have it. At $10, it’s one fifth of my monthly Thrifty Threads 365 shopping budget, but like I said, I had to have it! It’s a maxi, pleated and solid gold. What’s not to love?!

When it comes to such a bold piece, it’s easy to think, “how will I wear this?” Well, I kept the rest of my look minimal and let the skirt steal the show.

It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Kohl’s, particularly the flirty skirts and dresses from LC Lauren Conrad or the Jennifer Lopez jumpsuits. But if there’s a collection I’m really excited for, it’s their latest DesignNation collaboration: Elie Tahari for Kohl’s.

I previewed the line a few months ago and it’s full of chic black and white hues {similar to the Catherine Malandrino line!}, ultra soft material and a NYC vibe. Casual knit pants, bold sweatshirts and work appropriate dresses will have you covered all season.

And in honor of my 5 year blogiversary, I’m offering another giveaway, this time it’s a $100 gift card to Kohl’s.
