June Ambrose is the stylist to the stars {Jay-Z, Mary J, Missy, etc} and now she’s bringing her sartorial touch to a foot near you. At the end of the week she’s releasing a line of shoes with the Home Shopping Network.
June dresses the best in the biz, but she’s also known for her own stand out style {be sure to follow her on Instagram if you’re not already} and skyscraper height heels and designer labels. But this collection is for the woman who loves functionality and affordability.
Starting at just $59, each shoe is named after an iconic woman and there’s something for everyone’s taste.

Caress Fabulistas Offer Up Style Advice

Caress body wash

When you think of Caress, you probably think of soap and body wash. Well, that’s what I immediately think of. I remember using Caress soap as a little girl when I’d sleep over at my grandma’s house. The girlie girl in me was drawn to the pink bar of soap. But that was years ago and Caress has certainly grown beyond the pink oval soap.
Fashion and beauty go hand in hand, that’s something we know for sure. So I was excited when I heard about Caress teaming up with top fashion experts, aka the Fabulistas, to offer women fashion and beauty advice all in one.
The three experts {June Ambrose, Sonia Castaneda and Lilliana Vazquez} dish out easy to digest style and beauty advice all while letting you know about Caress’ new body washes. I’ve tried the Passionate Spell Body Wash and it’s amazing {great lather without drying out the skin and the smell is divine!}.
June Ambrose is a top stylist for the stars you love {Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, etc.}, and while she has access to top designer threads, she offers tips everyday women can utilize.
The Caress Facebook page has a ton of useful videos but the one I really love is June’s advice on how to wear white after Labor Day.

“Designer” on a Dime – June Ambrose in Phillip Lim

At last week’s Zac Posen for Target party, I was in awe of June Ambrose’s red carpet look. The uber stylist and author of Effortless Style shined in a Phillip Lim sequined shirt dress. Double breasted construct, rolled sleeves and gathering at the waist: what’s not to love? Well, the $995 price tag is a bit painful.
She keeps the rest of her look clean with simple accessories like nude YSL heels and a classic, quilted Chanel bag (and of course, her oversized shades).
I searched high and low for a cheap chic alternative to the Phillip Lim shirt dress, but came up empty. However, I found a similar blazer that’s comparable with its sequins, side pockets and buttons. Since this blazer isn’t as long as June’s, pair it with a mini skirt or dress for added coverage and an equally glam look.

Jeepers Peeper Oversized Natalie Sunglasses: Asos, $27.05. Quilted Lock Across Body Bag: Asos, $25.36. Caryssa Platform Pumps: Steve Madden, $99.95. Torn by Ronny Kobo Sequin Blazer: Shopbop, $132. Convertible Sequin Skirt: Free People, $75. Sequin Tank Dress: eDressme, $80.

Is June Ambrose Jacking My Style!?

Ok, well not really. But I came across a recent photo of June Ambrose at an Anna Sui for Target event and I kinda, sorta had a flashback to a look I wore a few weeks ago.

I’m sure the super stylist’s look cost way more than my thrifty threads (I bet that bag is more than my rent!) but we have similar elements to our style: a fitted blazer over a flowy dress and layers of necklaces.

June’s pockets are certainly deeper that mine, but as we all know, money has nothing to do with style!
