I've had a colorful vintage suit on my thrift wish list for a while and my prayers were answered during a thrift shopping trip to Goodwill last month. Well, they were kinda sorta answered. I had a vision for a colorful vintage suit: a citrus or coral color with a structured jacket and wide leg trousers. That's the image I had in my head. However, the suit I found look a liiiiiitle bit different. It was a mixture of bright colors, had massive shoulder pads, and the skirt was an awkward length. But you know what, for $7, I bought it anyway and styled it seven different ways. How to Style a Vintage Suit in Flattering Ways

I love traveling and I love hitting the thrift store, so when I can combine the two? That's just a double score. While in Nashville earlier this summer, I made it a point to hit up a Goodwill Outlet and thrifted a few vintage gems. However, when I made a trip to Alberta, Canada, I wasn't so sure I'd have time to thrift shop. But luckily, the thrifting gods were shining down and my final day in Edmonton, I hit the secondhand stores.I was curious: would the stores be as big? Organized? What would the prices be like? Safe to say, I scored. Big. Here's what I found while thrift shopping in Canada.Looking Fly on a Dime: Thrift Shopping in Edmonton at Goodwill

I try to thrift shop in every city and country I visit. Besides finding unique pieces, it's also nice to see the different looks and feels of thrift stores. So when I had a few days in Nashville, inevitably thrifting was on the menu. Since I didn't have much time, I knew getting major bang for my thrift buck was the key. After quick research I was so happy to find that a Goodwill Outlet was just a short ride away.If you've never been to an outlet, then you need to visit. Unlike your average thrift shop, the outlets price items by the pound versus individual pieces. But that also means the crowd can be a bit competitive. But I was ready to see what the Nashville Goodwill Outlet had to offer.Goodwill Nashville Goodwill outlet store

Most notably is Goodwill, which has opened about 60 boutiques nationwide. These locations have more curated designer pieces, are more organized and have a feel of a department store to attract the desired millennial crowd.I'm all about making thrifting easier and more accessible {so much so that I wrote a book on how to thrift shop!}, so I checked out the Goodwill boutique that recently opened in NYC's Union Square. I wasn't impressed.

It's totally natural to have a body part that isn't exactly your favorite asset. Well, fast forward a few years and I'm proudly showing serious leg in a pair of DIY cutoffs.
