Thriftspiration is a weekly series that puts a spotlight on readers who share their secondhand shopping tips and fun ways to style thrifted finds.

When and why did you start thrift shopping? I started thrifting when I had my daughter, Selah. We had no idea the sex of the baby and didn't have much clothing for her when she was born. Family and friends gave us lots of girl clothes, but she was out growing them too quickly! So my hubby encouraged me to hit the local Salvation Army and I quickly discovered lots of awesome baby clothes. I'm now forever a thrifty shopper.
What three words would you use to describe your style? Classy. Modest. Bold.

If you guys follow me on Twitter or Facebook, then you know I spent last week in San Francisco. Besides enjoying some serious thrifting {more on that later this week}, I took in the sights, as this was my first time in the Bay Area. And of course, I rocked head to toe thrifted looks. I never intentionally wear head to toe thrift store finds, but because the majority of my wardrobe is secondhand, that's just how it works out!During my first day in the city I went for a denim top {Salvation Army} and cobalt blue maxi skirt {Goodwill}. The skirt was actually free because I redeemed my Goodwill Rewards Card points. If you're a serious Goodwill thrift shopper, check with your local store to see if they have one of these cards, you won't regret it.

Thrift Shopping Commandments Last week I gave you the first part of my 10 Thrift Shopping Commandments and here's the final five. They're in no particular order as they're all crucial to ensure a happy, productive thrifting experience.

Would I Buy It At Full Price? This is the question you need to ask yourself before buying anything. Cheap prices can be mighty alluring so you want to be sure you're not solely buying something because it's a steal. Though a dress may be $2, it'll be a total waste of cash if you never wear it.

Goodwill Rewards Card

I love Goodwill. I really do. I love it so much that I racked up more than 300 points on my Goodwill Rewards Card {read up on the card HERE}, which meant I have a total of $30 in coupons.I popped in to the Goodwill in Harlem {2196 Fifth Ave} and was on the hunt for an awesome dress, but I kept striking out. I found a few pieces but I wasn't exactly happy with the prices. A Donna Morgan dress was $10 {original price tag was still on, $178}.

That wasn't a bad deal compared to the original price but I kinda had my heart set on a dress under 10 bucks and the piece didn't fit me perfectly. And then I found a Bebe sweater dress for $15.

Last year I told you guys about the new Goodwill Customer Rewards Card. It's an awesome piece of plastic that allows you to earn while you shop. All branches of Goodwill are different so the actual rewards may vary, but here in the New York, New Jersey area, when you rack up 100 points {i.e. spend $100}, you earn a $10 off coupon. You simply hand the card to the cashier every time you shop and your points are tallied.I recently redeemed my $10 off coupon and snagged a great pair of flats from one of my favorite Goodwill locations {220 East 23rd St.}. They were only $10 so I walked away with a pair of Sam Edelman flats for free, these clive ballerina flats originally retailed for $134.
