So Excessive rings

A few weeks ago the folks over at So Excessive contacted me about hosting a giveaway. I had never heard of the company so I checked out the website and was immediately obsessed with the accessories, especially the bangles {$32 each}. I’m a huge fan of statement making jewelry without a hefty price tag attached. These pieces definitely get the Looking Fly on a Dime stamp of approval.

A few months ago I introduced you guys to Brooklyn Bleu, a by appointment only vintage boutique. I thought the shop would be a little too expensive for my taste but I was amazed how affordable the one of a kind pieces were. And the owner, Tenisha, was super attentive and knows her vintage pieces inside and out.

If you’re in NYC, Brooklyn Bleu is having a massive winter sale this Thursday {1/26} with 30 percent off vintage garments and they’ll be unveiling a ton of accessories. Tenisha will also have some giveaways throughout the night for those who attend.

Some of the giveaways include:

Happy Scarf Review and Giveaway – CLOSED

We all know that accessories are the quickest way to update a look and a great winter accessory is the scarf. When the people at Happy Scarf contacted me about sending over some samples and doing a giveaway, I jumped at the opportunity. I love throwing a scarf on over or under a jacket or even in the office over a simple cardigan or blazer. It provides warmth and dresses up your existing wardrobe.

Two of the scarves I chose were the Zebra Crossing and Centered Polka Dot.

As soon as I took them out of the box I loved how soft and long they were. Measuring more than five feet long, that meant I could wrap them a variety of ways.

I like the infinity look so I just wrapped the polka dot scarf around my neck a few times.

15 Dollar Store – Review & Giveaway – CLOSED

Last year a reader introduced me to the 15 Dollar Store. Yup, that’s the name of the store and yes, all apparel and accessories are just $15. Though I love a great deal, I value quality more than anything. So when the people at15 Dollar Store presented me with the opportunity to review one of their items, I jumped at the chance.

Since I’m obsessed with chunky, men’s inspired watches, I decided to review the Geneva crystal and mother of pearl link watch in rose gold. It kind of reminds me of Michael Kors watches, which cost hundreds of dollars, but this one was a fraction of the cost.
