This weekend I partook in one of my favorite summer past times: I went to the flea market. And not just any flea market but the Brooklyn Flea market. The flea has 100+ vendors and is the perfect place to go hunting for accessories, vintage clothing and fun decorations for your home.I didn't pick anything up, but check out the awesome pieces I came across and a few tips if you're hitting up your local flea market.

The weather was absolutely amazing this weekend in NYC. 80 plus degrees made me take to the streets and hit the Brooklyn Flea Market. I didn't end up buying anything, but it was great walking around and seeing the tons of cool stuff. There were rows and rows of clothes, accessories, vintage electronics, food, furniture and more. Flea markets are great places to find unique pieces to add to your wardrobe or home decor.A few tips for flea market shopping:
  • Walk around: visit all of the booths before buying anything. Another vendor may have a similar item for a better price.
  • Bargain: you can almost always haggle with a seller. If you're buying a few pieces, he/she will most certainly give you a discount.
  • Cash rules: though a few of the Brooklyn Flea Market vendors accepted credit cards, always come with cold hard cash.
