Style Equation: The Casual Chic Formula To Get Dressed in 10 Minutes

Though I have a closet full of clothes, I always feel I have nothing to wear. But I’ve come to rely on trusted style combos that make getting dressed in the morning must easier.

I realized I haven’t done a Style Equation post in a while, so here it is. This is a useful go-to combo when you want to get dressed for a casual weekend, day of errands or lunch date. It takes just minutes but you’ll automatically look pulled together and it only requires the basics every woman has in her closet.

You can always find a cute, quirky or cool t-shirt at any thrift shop and I’ve had this Rolling Stones tee for years. It was less than $1 at a local shop. While the top is extremely casual, the addition of a flowy skirt automatically elevates the look. This hi-low pleated skirt was scored from the website Twice, the online thrift shopping site that has great brands at up to 90 percent off.

When your look is fairly simple, pull out those statement making accessories. For this look I grabbed my colorful crossbody bag I bought while on my trip to Belize, which I bought on the beach from a local vendor. While I’m typically a heels girl, a quiet weekend or day of errands calls for flats or sandals. This time I stepped into my gold cutout Steve Madden oxfords from Twice. They’re comfy and make a major statement. I affectionately call them the Tin Man flats!

I’m all about keeping it simple but cute and fun! Whatever t-shirt, skirt or accessories you choose, following this simple combo is an easy way to get dressed when you’re pressed for time.

Also, if you haven’t tried the website Twice, you can get half off your first purchase by using this link here. It’s a great way to thrift online: major deals, no crowds and from the comfort of your home!

Great post! I also love this as a go-to combination. I also like jeans with a bright or decorative t-shirt and chunky/long statement necklaces with flats or sandals.. not sure how stylish that combo may be but i feel cute when i wear it. LOL
