Patrice J. Williams affordable style expert, styling services

I tend to get the same question from my readers, “Patrice, I want to go thrifting with you!” Well, that’s not really a question, but more of a request. Or how do I wear this garment?
From hosting affordable style segments on the Today Show to appearing on The Nate Berkus Show and recreating designer looks using thrift store finds, it’s safe to say I know a thing or two {or three!} about Looking Fly on a Dime®. There’s an art to shopping on a budget, but without looking like you’ve shopped on a budget. I’m all about sharing my tips and tricks to look your best, for less! Whether you’re based in New York City or anywhere in the world, I can assist with any of your style needs.
Services include:
  • Thrift Shopping: Try a personal or group tours of NYC’s best secondhand shops. You’ll be introduced to some of my favorite stores and we won’t just hunt for secondhand finds, but I’ll also offer styling tips to make the “cheap” look chic and dish on some of my best tips so you can find your own thrift store scores on future trips. No more wasting time at horrible shops, I’ll steer you in the right direction!
  • Personal Shopping: Maybe you want to visit a department store and need a guide {it can be so overwhelming!}, then I’m your girl. I’ll assist you in navigating boutiques, discount department stores or any mall, all while sticking to your predetermined budget and adding must-have pieces to your closet.
  • Closet Revamps/Wardrobe Consultations: If you’re not looking to spend cash on new clothes, all you have to do is hit your closet. During a session {in person or virtual}, we’ll discuss ways to reinvent your old threads in new, fresh ways. Also, if you’re just not sure what clothes you need in your closet, I can provide you with a personalized style assessment of what works best for your shape and/or lifestyle.
  • Styling Options: Buying fashionable, affordable clothes is a great thing, but styling them can be another challenge! From ways to incorporate trendy garments with your classic pieces to putting together a head-to-toe look for a special occasion, I’ll have you covered.

With 7+years in the fashion industry and repeat appearances on the Today Show, Nate Berkus Show, WE tv, WPIX and more {check out my fashion reel here or individual on-air style appearances here}, I’ve helped women of all shapes and sizes find a style that suits their body types and budget. Like I always say, “your style is never determined by your wallet.”

I found out about your site from the Nate show. I love how you find deals at the Thrift store. My hubby would not go to the thrift store with me. I might go on an adventure in the thrift store on my own.

OMG! I have been thrifting all my life and used to be a runway model and would get stopped for my outfits all the time. I always used to laugh as I knew what I was wearing top to toe was under $20. So glad you took a love of what you like to do and turned it into something valuable and helpful to other people and something you love. I also do it with my home furnishings as well. Timely as well as people struggle with available funds to put their best foot forward in a highly competitive market. Congratulations on the Nate show. thankyou Patrice. best Victoria :)

This sounds like a lot of fun.. but to be honest, I like to thrift alone because I don’t want anyone to steal what I see :D I do love to shop for other people though, my mom reaps most the benefits!!

I just saw you on NATE today (yeah, I’m kinda behind). I was super excited yesterday because I bought a pair of Ed Hardy shoes for 19.99 yesterday. I didn’t realize that if I look at different stores I could get a whole outfit for the same amount. My plan for tomorrow is to look for Thrift Shops near me. Thank you so much for inspiring me today!
