The year is almost wrapped and I want to end on a high note. And that’s why I’m collaborating with Goodwill for a fashion event called Ready, Set, Thrift! and if you’re in the New York City area, you’re invited.

On Thursday, December 6 from 6-8pm, we’ll get together at the Goodwill Chelsea boutique for a fashion challenge that will combine thrifting and a chance to win prizes.

I’ll be MCing the evening and thrifty shoppers can show off their serious style with fun challenges every 30 minutes. The events will range from:

–Scavenger Hunt

Scour the store to find select items and the winner who finds all of the pieces in the fastest time will receive a $50 gift card to Goodwill. We’ll have two of these fast paced hunts throughout the evening.

–Best Dressed Thrifter

Think you’re the best when it comes to thrift shopping and putting together a cheap chic outfit? Well then, show us what you’re got. Using the pieces at  Goodwill, put together a holiday outfit and we’ll pick one winner who will get to keep their outfit. *psst: the Chelsea boutique has some fly pieces, so you may walk away with a designer outfit*

–Recreate the Runway Style

High style can be achieved on any budget and if you can duplicate a runway-inspired look with thrifted pieces, you’ll get to keep your thrifty threads.

The judges will include myself, Goodwill staff and a pre-selected shopper.

This will be a fun, high energy evening, so if you can come out and attend, please do. Challenges will be held every half hour so feel free to stay for the entire evening, for more chances to win. The Goodwill in Chelsea recently underwent a renovation and the space is amazing and has tons of gorgeous clothes and accessories.
