Metaphor Collection for Sears: The Only Dress You Need for Every Occasion

I love the cold and the holidays, but how is the year over already?! One thing that people tend to do towards the end of the year is let the colder temps keep them from wearing bright colors. Late fall and winter is no excuse to enter the neutral zone with your clothes.

That’s where the Metaphor collection at Sears comes in. Not only are the threads stylish and affordable, you won’t have any problem finding classic cuts in bright colors and textures. They’re perfect for the modern woman who craves fly apparel and shoes.

I’m all about clothing lines that give you a full range experience, meaning you can easily translate a single garment from the office to the weekend and throw on a few accessories to complete the look. Metaphor ranges from flirty frocks to shoes to wardrobe staples like blazers and dress pants.

There are countless ways to style the pieces, but I went with a casual chic look I’d wear to a relaxed holiday party. This is a sleeveless dress, but I layered a button down and sweatshirt over it. A little layering is the easiest way to get more wear out of a single dress and “convert” it to a skirt. *My cousin took these pics and she thought this was actually a skirt, not a dress!*

I usually have a handful of holiday parties to attend a season, and luckily this dress is multifunctional. For a more upscale event or cocktail party, I’ll ditch the layers for a statement necklace and classic pumps. And once spring arrives, I can breath free thanks to the sleeveless design. I’m pretty impressed with the quality of the redesigned Metaphor collection.

Since we’re all running around doing a million and one things, we can appreciate individual garments that work for all occasions. It’s all about serious bang for your buck!
