Loehmann’s Italian Designer Preview

As a blogger and writer, I’ve had tons of opportunities to see some pretty amazing designs, but this weekend really took the cake. Loehmann’s invited a select group of bloggers to tour their New Jersey warehouse {it’s normally closed to the public} and get a sneak peek at some of their Italian designs. Oh, did I mention the warehouse is 400,000 square feet. It was aisles and aisles of Valentino, Prada, Moschino and more. I felt like I walked in to my fantasy closet.
And since it’s Loehmann’s, the prices were slashed up to 65 percent off the original value.
We were greeted with brunch, chatted with the buyers {they head to Europe about three times a year to secure affordable designer fashion} and then we made our way to the warehouse.
These styles don’t hit stores until February, but I can tell you that prints, appliqué and embellishments still reign supreme. I was so busy going ooh and ahh that I forgot to snap a lot of photos, but some of my favorite pieces included a tangerine Fuzzi dress and an epaulette Moschino mini.
Then we were ushered to the accessories, which consisted of piles of shoes boxes and bins of heavenly handbags.
Last year I purchased an Ellen Tracy cape from the Loehmann’s fall preview, so it was only fitting that I wore the beauty to visit the chilly warehouse.
And did you know Loehmann’s offers a personal shopper service? The shopper can help you put together a look, pull pieces for you ahead of time and let you know when new items are coming in. Oh, and the service is totally free!
Be sure to check out my Instagram {@LookingFlyonaDime} and Facebook page where I’ll be posting additional photos.
Disclosure: Loehmann’s provided a $50 gift card for those in attendance.
P.S. Be sure to sign up for this Saturday’s Adventures in Thrifting thrift shopping tour. Only 3 tickets left!
