Loehmann’s Friends & Family Event

Last week I had the opportunity to work with Loehmann’s again {I was their Fashion Week blog ambassador} and I jumped at the chance. When I’m not thrifting, I refuse to pay full retail so Loehmann’s is a perfect fit, as they offer up to 65 percent off department store prices.

They selected a few bloggers and style experts to participate in their private Friends and Family events throughout the NYC store. The shops shut down early for select customers to enjoy additional discounts and a fun party atmosphere.

I was joined by Misha of The Fab Chick and Annika of Leather & Lacquer. We made our way to the New Hyde Park location to assist customers in styling their new threads.

The ladies in attendance already had a good idea of what they liked and what works for their body, so in between styling, I snapped a few fun flicks and even ended up buying a few pieces {of course!}.

Annika

Annika found this awesome DKNY coat. This is that time of year when you’ll still find a few heavier coats on the sales floor. Don’t be afraid to buy them now and wear next year. You can’t beat the savings and a style like this will never go out of style.

The store had a ton of dresses and I really fell in love with this Romeo and Juliet one. A little white dress is just as necessary as a LBD. And this one was less than $40 and the studded cap sleeves and cut out back add fun details.

Jeans

I posted this photo on Instagram and asked if acid wash is a yay or nay. More votes leaned towards nay, but I think it can be done the right way without looking like a straight 80s throwback. I would wear these jeans with more modern pieces like a quilted jacket, jewel toned top and pumps.

As the night winded down, we all noticed a serious gem at a bargain basement price. Well, it was really Misha who noticed it.

jacket

This military, safari style zip up was just $12.99. Annika and I did a double take and all three of us ended up buying one. And with the 20 percent off, it came out to $10.39. I’m already thinking of fun ways to style it.

I also bought two other items {vintage looking earrings and white skinny jeans} which totaled $11 and $16, respectively.

jumpsuit

And my outfit for the night? I opted for a vintage jumpsuit. And I couldn’t resist trying these leopard print shoes on, they perfectly complimented the look.

If you couldn’t make the Friends and Family sale, you can actually shop Loehmann’s online and use the 20 percent off code: SPRINGFF

Love your jumper, so cute! Hmm…I want to like the acid wash jeans but I’m not sure I could pull it off. But you never know. But that white dress is so cute, I need it 🙂

Cute jacket. I do that, shop off season and just save it for next year. That’s how I find really great deals.
