Though you guys know I’m a thrifting queen, I love a great deal at any store I go to. So when Loehmann’s invited me to their blogger event last week, I jumped at the opportunity to attend. They offer top designer names for up to 60 percent off the original price.
Stylist Felix Mercado gave us the dish on fall’s hottest trends {red, sheath dresses, oversized bags}, we met fashion icon and 90 year old fly girl Iris Apfel and they gave us $300 to shop with.

Iris shared stories of shopping at Loehmann’s back in the day {she and the store are turning 90}, not following trends and embracing individual style no matter how much money you have in your wallet. She’s clearly Looking Fly on a Dime certified. And Iris is even debuting her jewelry collection for HSN in September, with prices ranging from $20-$150.

At the event, I learned about Loehmann’s personal shoppers. Am I the only one who didn’t know about this? Though you’re getting a bargain, they don’t skimp on the one-on-one service, which is free of charge. You can schedule a free consultation and even have apparel waiting for you at the store. *Contact your nearest location for more info.*

After the meet and greet we were let loose to shop the store with a $300 gift certificate in hand. Like I stated, the store has designer deals at up to 60 percent off, so I was looking forward to snagging some great finds.
{mouth agape. clearly i’m amazed by the prices}
After shopping for a little over an hour, I hit the jackpot.
{this Ellen Tracy cape is my new baby. can’t wait to wear her this fall}
{these leather shorts were the first thing I found. See how I wore them last week}
{i couldn’t leave without a pair of heels. the round toe, red heel and leopard platform are sick!}
Even with the cape, shorts, heels and accessories, I was still shy of the $300 limit.
Of course I’m not leaving you guys out of the fun. Loehmann’s was kind enough to provide me with a giveaway, just in time for my two year blog anniversary. Check back on Friday for details.
