Fall is most certainly here, so that means chilly mornings where all you want to do is stay in your warm bed. Luckily, the chunky knit trend is an office appropriate way for you to keep that warmth going all day. For this look, layer two pieces {the H&M cable knit sweater and Billabong scarf} for an extra plush feeling. Add in dressier pieces like houndstooth pants, textured pumps from Charlotte Russe, a structured handbag and statement stud earrings to keep the outfit from being too casual.

Pulling off a cohesive monochromatic look, in a color other than black, can be an intimidating task for even the sharpest of dressers. The trick is color blocking with different shades of the same color {cobalt, navy, turquoise, etc.} and adding different textures like suede, fringe or leather. The scarf in this outfit serves as a great finishing piece when paired with a long sleeve button-up shirt, a quilted pencil skirt {less than $20 from Uniqlo!}, suede loafers, exposed zipper bag and cracked turquoise earrings.

Printed silk scarves are versatile pieces that can be worn in many ways. In this instance, it’s used in place of a statement necklace and layered on top of textured dress. Let the neutral dress be your canvas and jazz up the look with coordinating pieces like this top handled handbag, crystal earrings and suede boots. On colder days, throw on some tights for extra warmth.
