06 Oct “Designer” on a Dime – Gucci Helena boots

I’m rarely stopped in my tracks, but Gucci’s Helena boots took my breath away. 5 1/2 inches. Platform heel. Leather cut outs. Gorgeous. $1550 price tag? Eek!

The shoes are no longer available, but luckily, there’s a similar version for way less at msheel.com.

Of course there are some dissimilarities: no platform heel and the boot hits mid calf versus Gucci’s knee skimming number. But if you love the overall look of cut outs, this is a great alternative.
