Cubicle Chic: What to Wear on Casual Friday

Friday is truly the greatest day of the week. It’s the only thing standing in between you and your epic {or relaxing!} weekend. And in celebration of this amazing day, many places of business have instituted casual Fridays. But that doesn’t mean you should reach for your favorite crop top or ripped jeans.

Check out these three casual Friday looks that keep it comfy, yet professional.

Maxi Skirt and Graphic Tee

A simple piece to wear is a flowing maxi skirt. It elongates your figure and hides many “problem” areas all while being super comfy. Dress it down with a tucked in graphic tee, statement necklace and cute wedges. This is how you do effortless chic!

Denim on Denim

Shirt / Jeans / Necklace / Shoes / Earrings

Head to toe denim is a super-hot trend this spring and it’s perfect to wear on a casual Friday. The key to pulling this look off is making sure your top and bottom are different washes. Try a lighter top with dark wash jeans or vice versa. Or try a traditional blue denim top with a colored denim jean. Just make sure that your jeans are a solid hue and not distressed. Since you’re still going at work, any rips would be a bit too much! Add a pair of cutout booties and some black and gold accessories to finish off the look.

Leggings and Tunic

Tunic / Leggings / Earrings / Necklace / Loafers

Leggings can be very tricky in a professional setting. You can make them office appropriate by wearing a tunic. Try a long, loose fitting tribal top to counteract the tightness of the leggings. A cute pair of loafers and coordinating accessories tie the look together.

What is your go to casual Friday outfit? What are some of the fashion faux pas you’ve seen at the office when it’s dress down day?
