Cubicle Chic: 3 Trendy Blazers for Fall

Even though I’m begrudgingly accepting that fall is coming, I do have to admit I am excited to wear my favorite fashion piece again; the blazer. No seriously, I have a problem. At last count I own 26 blazers. From tweed to wool and tuxedo to boyfriend, blazers come in so many fabrics and shapes it’s easy to change your look with just this one piece.

This week’s Cubicle Chic is all about the perfect fall blazers for the office.

Leather

Blazer / Shirt / Pants / Earrings / Bag / Shoes

I hope you kept your leather pieces from last fall, because leather is back! And what’s not to love about this trend? Real or faux, leather gives a look that is both sophisticated and edgy. This white and vegan leather blazer matches perfectly with these vegan leather detailed “treggings” {trouser leggings}, both from H&M. Add in other edgy touches like midi heel booties, gold detailed bag and textured hoop earrings. Lastly, add a pop of color with this emerald green shirt.

Plaid

Blazer / Skirt / Earrings / Bag / Heels

Plaid is truly the print for fall. It is a versatile pattern that goes from preppy in the workplace to playful on the weekends. To keep it office chic, pair this blazer with a simple pencil skirt and t-strap heels. And of course layer a light camisole underneath for coverage. Add interest by mixing in red hued accessories like this red purse and rose gold earrings.

Menswear

Blazer / Cami / Pants / Earrings / Bag / Shoes

If you’ve picked up a September issue, you’ve definitely noticed this next trend; menswear inspired dressing. Taking a page from the boys and try a double-breasted jacket in navy like this one on sale at Mango and add in a pair of houndstooth trousers. Just make sure to keep the pants in a slim fit to balance the volume of the jacket. Mix in other menswear inspired pieces like a structured bag and Payless oxford heels. To lighten the outfit, add in feminine touches like a pink layering cami and coordinating earrings.

Is there a must-have blazer you’re buying this season? How do you style your blazers from work to weekend?

I love these fall looks! I always love a blazer paired with skinnies, so I’m a fan of your first look.
