Budget Beauty: Jordana Cosmetics

This weekend I headed to Duane Reade in serious need of some contact lens solution, but of course, I ended up in the cosmetics aisle. Big surprise, huh? This time a “new” brand caught my eye. Though Jordana Cosmetics has been around for more than 20 years, I just noticed them, and more importantly, I noticed their super affordable prices. The lip glosses were all priced at $2. Since they were so inexpensive, I tried three different products.

INCOLOR Pretty Shine Luxury Gloss in Gorgeous
This gloss promised high shine and it certainly delivered. It was shiny, without being too gooey. The sponge tip wand made application easy and the fragrance was sweet, but not nauseating. Though the shine wore off fairly quickly, the color lasted for a while. I’d definitely wear this on a night out.

Easyshine Glossy Lip Color in Cotton Candy
I loved the smell of this product, but that was about it. I expected this to be more like a lipstick, but it was like a lip butter. The stick was pretty soft and the tip started to wear down pretty quickly, as you can see in the photo. I went for a really light shade so it didn’t give my lips much color but I did love how soft it made them feel. I could see myself wearing this as a moisturizing base under another lip color.

INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush on Gloss in Watermelon Punch
I. Love. This. Stuff. It’s not as thick as the luxury gloss but still gave me tons of shine. The packaging is also sleek and perfect for throwing in your teeny clutch. The click pen made it easy to determine how much gloss you wanted to apply to your lips. I’d wear this alone or layer it over a matte lipstick.

I’m definitely open to trying more products from Jordana Cosmetics. You can find them at your local drugstore or purchase online from JordanaCosmetics.com.

The colors are nice, however have you tried wearing them for a few days, and the lips get chapped.

No, I haven’t had the problem of my lips getting chapped after wearing for a few days.
