Best Affordable Beauty Buys

best beauty buys, drugstore beauty products source

When it comes to clothes, I love them. My closet is evidence of that. But when it comes to the world of beauty, I’m kinda intimidated. There are so many products on the market, I get way too overwhelmed and refrain from trying anything new because I don’t want to waste my money. Or have you ever bought a cheap beauty product and the quality is just as low as the price?
Well, there are a few beauty items I love that combine affordability and superior quality.
My skin is naturally oily and acne prone, but the one skincare product I use consistently is the Aztec Indian Healing Clay. I was first introduced to it a few years ago by T. Nicole from PintSizedInFluence and I’ve been hooked ever since.
The mask is 100 percent bentonite clay and when mixed with a bit of apple cider vinegar, it pulls toxins from your skin. As the mask hardens, you start to feel this pulsating sensation, which is cool and weird at the same time. After using it, my face feels soft and my breakouts are minimized. I love that it’s all natural, less than $8 at most retailers and a jar can easily last you six months.
From skincare to makeup, another trusty friend of mine is Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies. I’ve tried the expensive stuff {yes, I’m talking to you DiorShow}, but I always come back to Falsies mascara.
My lashes are pretty sparse so this gives them length and serious volume. And it doesn’t get all clumpy like over mascaras.
I’ve used the above items for a few years, but a recent fave is from LiSi Cosmetics. I previously told you about the new beauty line {everything’s less than $15} and I’ve become a serious fan of the lip glosses, especially the 9 Lives.
Now that Fall is here, my lips are super dry, but this gloss combines the color of a lipstick and moisturizing properties of a lip balm.
And another new-to-me item is the Kiss Nail Dress nail stickers. These are the perfect {i.e. affordable} alternative to Minx or other intricate designs. Unlike nail polish or gel, these don’t require any drying time or a visit to you salon.
I’ve used these twice so far and I’m absolutely in love. The designs range from rhinestones to zebra print to lace and more. I’m notorious for painting my nails at night, falling asleep before they fully dry and waking up with the imprint of my sheets on my nails! These take less than 20 minutes and on average mine have lasted 7 days.
Oh, that was just four products and I said five, right? Well that’s where you come in. I want you to tell me what your best budget beauty buy is in the comments below. Maybe it’s your favorite face cleanser, body wash, polish, foundation, etc.
What’s your favorite beauty product that’s less than $10 or $20. Is there a drugstore find that you prefer over the high end cosmetics?

I definitely co-sign Maybelline. I love that mascara and recommend it to everyone!

I like anything by Shea Moisture. A lot of their stuff is under $10 and at Target and Walgreens.

Cover Girl is the best for the price point. I like the orange tube the best!
