Adventures in Thrifting – Thrift Shopping 101

Last week I gave you guys a full recap of Looking Fly on a Dime’s first Adventures in Thrifting where I met up with a few readers for a full day of thrift shopping on East 23rd street. Well, the next outing is planned for Saturday, June 4 at 11am and the theme is Thrift Shopping 101.

Are you new to thrift shopping and don’t know where to start? Do you always encounter the same problem when thrifting and leave frustrated?

Whatever your dilemma is, let’s remove the intimidation factor and get shopping. I’ll show you some of my tips and tricks to get the best out of secondhand shopping.

We’ll go to one of my favorite thrift stores in NYC {Salvation Army on 46th St} and enjoy a few hours of thrifting. The store’s easy to navigate {super organized and spacious} and the prices are stellar.

Hi! I’ve done a few posts before on my fave thrift stores in NYC (just use the search box for more in depth info on them) but I really like the Salvation Army on 46th St and Goodwill on East 23rd!
